Whether you are an individual who needs protection for your personal pictures, music, and files or the business user with an office network, the BackupBox is the perfect disaster recovery and backup solution for all Windows® PC users -- even for your Microsoft® servers!

The BackupBox automagically monitors and maintains an ongoing restoration image of your entire PC system disk -- day in and day out, without you ever having to do anything again.

For Single PC Protection ...

The steps to insuring your Windows computer is as simple as 1-2-3:

  1. Buy your BackupBox
  2. Plug It In
  3. Leave it plugged in and your computer turned on

That is all there is to it. Period.

Any BackupBox can be used on one or more Microsoft Windows computers, but you need to be sure that you have enough disk space and the correct software licenses when using one BackupBox on multiple PCs.

For Multiple PCs without worrying about a network ...

If you have several Microsoft Windows computers, you have several alternative approaches:

  • Buy a BackupBox for each computer that you need to protect -- Remember that all computers in your home or office may not need BackupBox-class disaster recovery
  • Buy a BackupBox with a larger hard disk and the licenses for your extra computers and then move the BackupBox from machine-to-machine periodically so that each one has a complete backup saveset on the one central BackupBox

If your PCs are already networked ...

If your computers are already connected together (i.e., networked), you can put one larger BackupBox on one of your computers (choose one that is noramlly in the network and turned on) and then "share" that computer's BackupBox with the others in your network.

This is easy to setup and get running, but you need to consider the size of all of the computer's system disks and the speed of your network. If you have 60GB system disks and a 10/100 ethernet LAN, it is going to take around 4-5 hours to backup a system. If you have a Gigabit ethernet connection it will only take 30 minutes or so.

We usually recommend that a customer call us for a check list of things to watch out for when doing a network-based backup solution. Don't worry, it is not that hard to setup, but it is a good idea to think it through before starting. Give us a call at (866) RED--PAWZ or email support@redpawz.com and we will be happy to help out.

For Road Warriors and Mobile Professionals you can take it all with you ...

You can easily take the Mobile BackupBox with you when traveling or moving between your home and office.

If you are on the road and have a disk crisis, you have a lot of options, if you have a BackupBox with you. For example, you can go to a local store and buy a replacement hard disk, if your hard disk fails, simply put it in your laptop, plug in your BackupBox, boot from our BackupBox Recovery CD, and you can restore a complete image of your original system in minutes.

Sales organizations with key sales people in the field often cannot afford the lost time for returning their laptops to the corporate office for rebuilding when a system problem occurs. With the BackupBox your IT organization can intsure that you have complete, self-restorable capabilties simply by having each key field person have their own BackupBox and Recovery CD. In some cases, the central IT group can even send out complete system image updates via a field BackupBox exchange program.

A Complete Solution for Microsoft Servers, too!

If you are using Microsoft Windows 2000 or later server platforms, you can also use the BackupBox to protect your server operating system, system disk data, and applications.

The BackupBox Server software works exactly like the client BackupBox software plus it monitors your RAID container data as well as allowing for load monitoring.

Business-wide security for all of your Microsoft PCs, laptops, and servers -- Your way!

There are BackupBox solutions for single desktop computers, mobile pocket-sized BackupBoxes for the road warrior, and business network versions that will backup up both your servers and your user's networked PC's.
