For Multiple PCs without worrying about a network ...If you have several Microsoft Windows computers, you have several alternative approaches:
If your PCs are already networked ...If your computers are already connected together (i.e., networked), you can put one larger BackupBox on one of your computers (choose one that is noramlly in the network and turned on) and then "share" that computer's BackupBox with the others in your network. This is easy to setup and get running, but you need to consider the size of all of the computer's system disks and the speed of your network. If you have 60GB system disks and a 10/100 ethernet LAN, it is going to take around 4-5 hours to backup a system. If you have a Gigabit ethernet connection it will only take 30 minutes or so. We usually recommend that a customer call us for a check list of things to watch out for when doing a network-based backup solution. Don't worry, it is not that hard to setup, but it is a good idea to think it through before starting.
